These digitized photos often come up when you block a shot, dunk, and nail a three pointer. These are very cool in my opinion. Also this game keeps track of tons of stats as well and it has real injuries. The gameplay is solid and it is very fun. The graphics are not bad, either. Players move fluidly and the control is very responsive. This game has all the nba players from the '92 season including MICHAEL JORDAN! This game is very entertaining to play and i recommend it if you still have a super nintendo.

Tee Off

Platform: Sega Dreamcast
Publisher: Acclaim
Genre: Sports
My Rating:   Rated: Everyone
Condition: Complete
Edition: Summary: The first golf title for the Dreamcast, "Tee Off" is in the vein of arcade-style golf games like the "Hot Shots Golf" series on the PlayStation. Players control big-headed, Japanese animation-style characters on vibrantly-colored 3-D courses. Shots are viewed from multiple camera angles--including some mesmerizing aerial views--with the ball leaving a fading trail behind it.
While "Tee Off" does require some basic golf knowledge, it uses a standardized control scheme which even those who've never played video golf will be able to pick up on right away. In addition to customizable difficulty levels, "Tee Off" offers various modes of play, including gate ball (think croquet in cyberspace) and world tour, which rewards players' high scores by "unlocking" new characters and equipment.
Admittedly, "Tee Off" isn't for devotees of more simulation-oriented golf titles, as they'll probably pass it off as kiddie fare. However, casual video golfers and those new to the armchair sport are in for one heck of a good time on the links. "--Joe Hon"
Pros:
Highly addictive arcade-style gameplay Great replay value Gate ball (cybercroquet) mode Cons:
Japanese to English language translation is weak at times May not appeal to fans of more simulation-oriented golf titles

Each turtle serves as a life and there are only 2 continues. Later in the game, the player is given several opportunities to rescue some of the turtles.

Tennis 2K2

Platform: Sega Dreamcast
Publisher: SEGA
Genre: Sports
My Rating:   Rated: Everyone
Condition: Complete
Edition: Summary: Sega's "Tennis 2K2" adds nearly every element fans of "Virtua Tennis" longed for upon its release. The game features eight female players, including the Williams sisters and Monica Seles, along with eight male players, including Patrick Rafter and Yevgeny Kafelnikov. As if that's not enough, you can create your own male and female players--selecting from a range of faces, hairstyles, heights, and weights--and train them to conquer the new World Tour mode.
The gameplay is slightly deeper than in the previous installment thanks to separate topspin and backspin buttons and a lob button to foil opponents who rush the net. You'll need all the tricks you can muster to beat the revamped AI opponents, who put up a fight even on the easiest difficulty setting. The amazing graphics engine from the original game has been tweaked to look even better, with smoother animations and more detailed players. Squint and you'll almost be fooled into thinking you're watching a TV broadcast. The fun minigames from the original are back and better than ever, but it's the depth of the World Tour mode that keeps us coming back for more, and that puts our copy of "Virtua Tennis" in permanent retirement. "--T. Byrl Baker"
Pros: Fluid animations and detailed graphics Separate topspin and backspin buttons for precision shots Create your own players and help them rise up the ranks Cons: Tough AI opponents mean you will lose a lot at first Doesn't allow women to face off against men

Tetris Plus

Platform: Playstation
Publisher: Jaleco
Genre: Puzzle
My Rating:   Rated: Everyone
Condition: Disc Only
Edition: Summary: Most attempts to tamper with the basic gameplay of Tetris have fallen flat on their faces, but Tetris Plus is actually a decent take on the timeless classic. You can tackle a basic solo game of Tetris, challenge a friend in two-player mode, or go directly to the best portion of the game: puzzle mode./ In puzzle mode, players control blocks as they descend from the top to the bottom of the screen. As they fall, you can spin blocks so that they land next to corresponding colors at the bottom of the screen. Gameplay is just like the original only with a few major twists. The bin that holds the pieces at the bottom of the screen starts out partially filled, while a little professor character climbs on top of the stack. Your job is to clear lines of blocks so that the professor can reach the exit at the bottom of the bin before a spiked ceiling smacks him in the head. Two players can also duke it out in puzzle mode, sending cleared lines to their opponent's bin. This isn't the best version of Tetris we've ever played, but it does still manage to offer a lot of entertainment for its low price. --T. Byrl Baker/ Pros:/ • Several types of play/ • Good two-player mode/ Cons:/ • Mediocre graphics/

The Thing

Platform: Xbox
Publisher:
Genre: Horror
My Rating:   Rated: Mature
Condition:
Edition: Summary: Based on the same elements that made the movie so enjoyable--fear, suspense, and the possibility that your teammate might be infected--The Thing lets players creep into action with the help of several nonplayer characters (NPCs), whom you use to protect and aid your group. Using a core team of engineers, medics, and soldiers, players must manage the level of trust in, and fear of, you that these characters experience. They react to your actions and might betray you if they think you are the Thing. Conversely, you must constantly monitor which one of them might be infected. Other characters must trust you, but if they fear you, actions as drastic as coercion are necessary. For example, if a soldier doesn't have confidence in you, you may have to put your gun to his head to convince him you're not the Thing... and for his sake, he'd better believe.

Tiger Heli

Platform: Nintendo NES
Publisher: LJN GAMES
Genre: Shooter
My Rating:   Rated: Everyone
Condition: Cart only
Edition: Summary: This game is like many others in its class and is very much like Galaga, Xevious, and other flight involving games of the eighties. This game was not extremely popular, though, but now gets some credit. Like many old school flying games, the objective is straight-forward; scroll through a number of screens and blow up anything coming at you. In the process, you can recieve power-ups to double your fire power and get extra lives. I like it alot but it has a few flaws: The music is alright, but gets kind of annoying after a while. Sound isn't too great (who really cares?). The biggest flaw is that sometimes too many tanks and boats come at you and you can crack under the pressure and fly into the bullets. But that can be good for challenge sake. It is at a nice pace, too. It is also a good port of the original. It's old school alright: very little story line, lots of action, and plenty of gameplay and replayability.

ToeJam & Earl

Platform: Sega Genesis
Publisher: SEGA
Genre: Fantasy
My Rating:   Rated:
Condition: Missing manual
Edition: Summary: Many people lavish their favorite games with phrases like "best game ever" and "truly a classic".

ToeJam&Earl is one of the rare games that absolutely deserves it. TJ&E is not simply a piece of nostalgia that has lost it's shine over the years. Returning to old games that you have fond memories of is sometimes a disappointment -- as you grow older, they're not quite what you remembered.

But TJ&E does not suffer from such depreciation. After dusting off the old Genesis and trying a few games, I was getting ready to put the system back into the closet. I found TJ&E near the back wall, and set the Genesis back up again to try it out.

While the other games were moderately interesting, and some for sheer nostalgia factor alone, TJ&E blew me away again. It was actually BETTER than I'd remembered! Incredibly enough, the graphics still appear great, even compared to the next-gen systems that we have today. Their vibrant colors and absolutely hilarious animation make up for the fact that this is a 16bit system. TJ&E actually looks good. Don't believe me? Type "ToeJam & Earl Genesis" into google-images, and see for yourself. (Note: it's the top-down, isometric view, not the side-scroller. The side-scroller is the sequel, which was nowhere near as good as the original).

The best part of ToeJam&Earl, however, is not it's graphics. The sheer fun factor is what has always, and what continues, to drive this game. TJ&E is best experienced as a two player game. When being chased down by a phantom ice cream truck, and then your buddy walks onto the screen and opens a rocket skates present to blast the two of you to safety (or off the edge of a cliff!), I guarantee you will shout and laugh. It's that fun.

If you have a Sega Genesis, buy this game. You will not be disappointed.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow

Platform: Xbox
Publisher: UbiSoft
Genre: Xbox/ Military & Espionage/ Shooter/ Massively Multiplayer/ Electronics/ Video Games
My Rating:   Rated: Teen
Condition:
Edition: Summary: 2006: The U.S. installs a temporary military base on East Timor to train the developing defense force of the "world's youngest democracy." Resistance to the U.S. military presence in Southeast Asia is widespread and passionate, but the threat Indonesian militias pose to Timorese democracy is deemed sufficient justification. Anti-U.S. resentment comes to a head under the leadership of guerrilla militia leader Suhadi Sadono, acting with the unofficial support of major corrupt factions of the Indonesian government. Suhadi's men attack and occupy the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, taking dozens of civilian and military personnel hostage./ Deployed by a top secret wing of the NSA (National Security Agency) known as Third Echelon, Sam Fisher is a lone field operative supported by a remote team. Fisher must defend and assist the U.S. military, both locally and from remote locations, until Suhadi's terror-driven policies can be subverted and the guerrilla faction eradicated. Charged with saving the world, it's a high stakes game. If he fails, the U.S. will deny any knowledge of his existence./ An experience so compelling you feel it./ • Believe the story. Inspired by the world of Tom Clancy, and endorsed by the famous author, and written by JT Petty, who penned the original Splinter Cell, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow features a storyline so real you can feel it. Tension filled stealth-action springs from a compelling original storyline so realistic it could have been ripped from the headlines./ • Understand the characters. In this sequel to the original game, favorite characters like Sam Fisher and Irving Lambert return and unveil even more about their personal histories in the more character-driven storyline. New antagonists appear, including Suhadi Sodano an Indonesian guerilla leader whose beliefs are sound, but whose methods are barbaric. And then there is Norman Soth: CIA-trained mercenary deep under cover or traitor working for the enemy? Whose side is he really on?/ • Immerse yourself.Revolutionary lighting, shadowing, animation, physics, and sound effects pushed to the limit to create a universe so tightly woven that the line between reality and gaming starts to blur. "High res" cinematics, amazing sound design and music as well as top quality voice over give SCPT as unique movie production quality. Voice actors, music composers and cinematic directors to be announced in the coming months./ • You've got the moves. Now more than ever, Sam relies on his moves. In this sequel to the original Splinter Cell, circumstances demand that Sam use his agility and athleticism to avoid detection and death. In fact the level design demands them. Use a half split jump to reach a ledge, zip line across an open courtyard, rappel along the side of a building, SWAT-turn to bypass an open door unseen./ • You've got the gear. Based on prototypes currently in development, or gadgets out on the field, Sam Fisher has a menu of high tech gadgets and tools from which to choose./ Revolutionary multiplayer stealth action gameplay online for the first time./ • Take Splinter Cell online. Taking place in a graphically-rich environment we expect from Splinter Cell, the multiplayer gameplay is a natural extension of the Splinter Cell world. Just as in Splinter Cell, players will call on a wide variety of gadgets, weapons and athletic moves to best their opponents. The light and shadow-filled environment offers dark retreats for stealth gamers and wide open spaces that spell danger for spies. The multiplayer game is integrated into the compelling offline story, though both offline and online gameplay can be enjoyed independently of one another./ • Choose a side. Taunt your enemies from the shadows as you meet stealth objectives playing through wide multiplayer maps in third-person view as a Shadow Net Spy. Or track spies using a first-person perspective as a heavy armed Argus Mercenary protecting your compound. The abilities and resources on each side are evenly matched. Winning will come down to skill and strategy./ • Feel the tension. Just as in the original game, online players will feel the tension that comes from never knowing what might happen next. Shadow Net spies hold their breath as mercenaries pass by close enough to touch them. They hide in the dark and wait for the right moment to spring into action. They work in concert—one can distract the mercenaries, while the other(s) meets the objective. Mercenaries never know when a Shadow Net spy might silently drop down from the shadows to attack, or slip by detection efforts to complete a mission. By relying heavily on their detection devices they feel like they can stop the threat—at least for now. Are spies stealing your secrets while they toy with you?
It's important to note that the maximum number of players on a multiplayer map is four. Too many people in a map would create chaos and result in shooter gameplay. But this is Splinter Cell. It's a stealth action game not a shooter. This game tests your stealth and your strategy, your readiness and your resourcefulness. Are you ready?/ • Feel the game. The multiplayer maps feature the revolutionary lighting, shadowing, animation, physics, and sound effects that have become the Splinter Cell trademark. Graphical effects push that even further. Electronic interference can disrupt the vision and tools of the mercenaries. Spies must avoid the searching flash lights and laser pointers. Flash bang, shaft and gas grenades are also powerful visual effects that players will have to deal with. Thanks to their advanced goggles, Shadow Nets can see in the dark and read thermo signatures in their environment while mercenaries detect movements and electro-magnetic disturbance in their surroundings…and much more to discover./

Tomb Raider

Platform: Sega Saturn
Publisher: Eidos Interactive
Genre: Adventure
My Rating:   Rated:
Condition: Missing manual
Edition: Summary: From the ruins of Rome to the futuristic setting of Atlantis, Tomb Raider takes the gamer through a variety of wonderful worlds. Unlike its sequels, it stays in the tombs and out of other settings. I believe that it is one of the best games ever made, and it certainly is a classic. However, I believe that its sequels (though not for Saturn) in many aspects overshadow it.
The scenery in Tomb Raider is better than most games, although it is mostly cubed and flat. The game play and plot are wonderful, and the graphics and sounds are acceptable. However, the artificial intelligence enemies are less than intelligent, and the gamer is often left feeling underestimated with the ease of some of the puzzles. Laura's moves are limited, and the weapons supply is less than perfect. The bonus levels present in the gold version are a lot of fun to play, but they add little to the game's plot.
I would recommend this game to any fan of the Tomb Raider series and to the average gamer. However, I do feel that other versions have better qualities. Tomb Raider II offers wonderful AI and is perhaps the best for a gamer seeking combat. Tomb Raider III combines the better aspects of the previous two, and Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation offers the best plot and character mobility. If you are looking to stay in the tombs, or if you are not into puzzles, stick with this game. However, don't miss out on the other great qualities the Tomb Raider series offers.

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation

Platform: Sega Dreamcast
Publisher: Eidos Interactive
Genre: Third-Person Action
My Rating:   Rated: Teen
Condition: Missing manual
Edition: Summary: Lara Croft makes her Dreamcast debut in "Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation", a must-have title for fans of the busty heroine's PlayStation exploits. Featuring high-resolution graphics that rival those of the PC version, this visual masterpiece sports a "fleshed-out" Lara in addition to lighting and water effects that make its 3-D environments seem all the more realistic.
Beneath the surface, "Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation" is pretty much the same old "Tomb Raider" action-adventure formula, with gameplay consisting of exploration, combat, and puzzle solving. (Which is not necessarily a bad thing, as most "Tomb Raider" fans just can't seem to get enough.) However, gamers do get to play as "young" Lara Croft for the first time, and the gallery mode rewards players with pictures of Lara as they progress through the game.
Unfortunately, advancing in "Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation" can be quite frustrating at times, as the controls--which utilize all the functions of the Dreamcast controller--are not only awkward, but also lack the responsiveness that some of the game's challenges require. "--Joe Hon"
Pros:
Enhanced graphics rival those of the PC version Ability to play as young Lara Croft Gallery feature a definite plus for fans Cons:
Poor controls

Top Gun

My Rating:   Rated:
Condition: Cart only
Edition: Summary: Well, if you're still playing NES games you are either really old or really poor. I'm really old. Basically this is the video game made to capitalize on the late 1980's movie _Topgun_ with tom cruise. I really liked that move. The first scene in the game is a sillouete of an F-14 and the Topgun theme song is playing. That scene is my favorite part of the game, sometimes I just put the game in to see that title screen and hear the music, and then turn it off. The gameplay is pretty good since you can shoot incoming missles with your cannon, and you can engage ships in battle. The two parts of the game that [stink] the most are (1)trying to re-fuel in mid-air, and (2)trying to land. I guess it takes patience to learn how to do both of these things, but since I'm old, I have none. I first played this game some time in the late 80's. Then I got a nintendo in the early 90's, then I finally got this game ...in the year 2001. This game will help you to come to terms with the fact that you will never really get to fly an F-14, because you're a nerd, not a flying ace. Hope this helps!

Edition: Summary: Most of us remember waging monumental battles and planning out complicated rescues with toy planes, boats, and such in our youth. Now you can do the same, virtually, in Sega's "Toy Commander". The premise is straight from a six-year-old's dream: some of your toys have gone bad and are rampaging through eight rooms in your intricately detailed home. It's up to you to take command of the loyal toys and lead them through 50 individual missions to put a stop to the plastic menace.
The progressively more difficult missions, consisting of action sorties like rescuing toy steamboats from malicious submarines, or strategic ones like transporting eggs into a pot of boiling water, are anything but a tea party. All missions fit comfortably within the game's storyline and can be seriously challenging. The sense of scale, as you commandeer the game's 35 vehicles, is true to the look of an ordinary room to a tiny toy. Fun and offering a surprising amount of depth, "Toy Commander" is a nostalgic, innovative, and entertaining romp. "--Sajed Ahmed"
Pros: 4-player split-screen death match mode, using any of the 35 vehicles in one of the eight rooms All the vehicles look and handle very differently, adding to the gameplay Impressive detail and interactivity in the game's environments Varied missions include warlike action, racing, and strategy elements Cons: Tedious mission goals could prove frustrating
